- Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the commercial economy in their primary occupation
- Members of the liberal professions
Registered office in Germany and no patent or utility model applied for in the last 3 years
What is funded? (Purpose)
Support for SMEs in securing their research and development results through industrial property rights, divided into five service packages (SP):
- SP1 Consultation and detailed examination of whether a new idea is being proposed
- SP2 Detailed examination with regard to economic utilisation
- SP3 (Strategic) consultation and coordination on the filing of intellectual property applications
- SP4 Filing of intellectual property applications
- SP5 Activities relating to intellectual property utilisation

Grant.
Up to €16,600 total grant (equivalent to 50% of eligible expenditure, capped at €33,200):
- SP1 €800
- SP2 €800
- SP3 €1000
- SP4 €10,000
- SP5 €4000
- Project term: 24 months
