What is funded? (Purpose)
  • With the Qualification Opportunities Act, policymakers opened up many opportunities for continuing education funding that were previously only available to a limited group of people. Now more companies can be supported financially in the training of their employees in a more flexible manner. 
  • What is new is that continuing education can also be funded for all employees whose occupational activities are being replaced by technology or threatened by structural change, regardless of age or other factors. 
  • Funding is only available for continuing education measures where the training provider is certified and continuing education comprises more than 120 hours. 
The funding is granted, in what amount? (The type and amount of support)

Education Voucher/Subsidy. 

  • Assumption of continuing education costs (training voucher redeemed directly with the training provider) 
  • In addition, any loss of wages resulting from the continuing education may be reimbursed. 
  • This requires that companies analyse the skill development needs together with their employees and then contact their personal contact person in the employer service or the hotline at +49 (0) 800 4 5555 20. It is important that companies approach the employer service in good time so that individual requirements can be checked and education vouchers can be issued.
