Target groups
Who is funded? (Eligible to apply)
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the commercial sector with their registered office and business operations in Germany.
- Young companies (on the market for less than 2 years)
- Existing companies (starting from the 3rd year after founding of the company)
- Companies experiencing economic difficulties
Young companies and enterprises in economic difficulties that wish to apply for a grant need to have a free information meeting with a regional contact person of their choice (such as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry) before applying. No more than 3 months may elapse between the interview and submission of the application.
What is funded? (Purpose)
Advisory services for young and existing companies.
- General advisory services in regard to all corporate governance issues
- Special consultations for countering structural inequalities, such as companies run by women or migrants, by entrepreneurs with recognised disabilities, on operational integration of employees with a migration background, on attracting and hiring skilled workers, on equal opportunity and better reconciliation of the demands of family and career
Advice for companies that are experiencing economic difficulties:
- Advice on getting the company on a solid financial footing for restoration of economic performance and competitiveness
- Follow-up advisory services to deepen the knowledge gained from the corporate security counselling to restore performance and competitiveness
Your existing companies may use a maximum of five consultant days per type of advisory service. This restriction does not apply to start-ups and companies experiencing economic difficulties. These can additionally apply for two grants.
The funding is granted, in what amount? (The type and amount of support)
Grant (new German states without Berlin and Leipzig region).
- Young companies (80% subsidy with €4000 assessment basis, grant not to exceed €3200)
- Existing companies (80% subsidy with €3000 assessment basis, grant not to exceed €2400)
- Companies experiencing economic difficulties (90% grant with €3000 assessment basis, grant not to exceed €2700)
