What is funded? (Purpose)

Funding is provided for measures to reduce energy-related CO₂ emissions:

Investments in energy-efficiency measures, such as energy efficiency
in technical processes and energy efficiency in existing non-residential buildings
Investments in energy storage, such as electricity storage or heat storage
Investments in renewable energy systems for on-site energy consumption
Investments in district heating systems
Investment in public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles
Feasibility studies for reducing CO₂ emissions relating to energy
Updating and implementation of regional energy concepts by the regional planning associations

The funding is granted, in what amount? (The type and amount of support)

Grant.

In case of organisations that are economically active in conjunction with the funding measure, funding may be provided in accordance with the provisions of the general block exemption regulation (GBER) or the de minimis regulation. In case of funding under the de minimis regulation, the grant can amount to up to 80% of the costs eligible for funding. In case of funding under the GBER, the respective requirements of the GBER must be taken into account. The funding rates can be found in the directive. For organisations that are not economically active in conjunction with the funding measure, the grant may amount to up to 80% of the costs eligible for receiving funding.
