Target groups
Who is funded? (Eligible to apply)
- Companies and research institutions with a place of business in the State of Brandenburg.
- Companies: non-SMEs generally only in association with at least one SME from Berlin or Brandenburg or a research institution.
- Research institutions: generally only in association with at least one company from Brandenburg or Berlin.
What is funded? (Purpose)
- Research, development and innovation projects in the research categories of industrial research, experimental development, market preparation phase and market launch.
- Feasibility studies in the run-up to research and development projects
- Process and organisational innovations (only in case of previous competitions)
This program is also available as a loan (see loan).
The funding is granted, in what amount? (The type and amount of support)
Grant
Partial financing may be possible in combination with loans.
The funding per project is limited to a maximum of €3 million in subsidies (and €3 million in loans, see Loans).
Maximum funding rate
- for companies
80 % of the expenditure for industrial research
60 % of the expenditure for experimental development
50% of the costs for feasibility studies
up to 50 % of the expenditure for process and organisational innovation - for research institutions
up to 80 % of eligible costs for industrial research and experimental development
Submission of complete application documents only after confirmation of expert advice by the Brandenburg Economic Development Corporation (WFBB).
