Target groups
Who is funded? (Eligible to apply)
Employable persons in need of assistance who take up or pursue a self-employed, full-time activity, provided that there is an expectation that the self-employed activity will permanently overcome or reduce the need for assistance within a reasonable period of time.
What is funded? (Purpose)
Funding for procurement of material resources that are necessary for self-employed activity and appropriate, taking into account the need for assistance, such as:
- Furnishings and office equipment
- Vehicles
- Machines and tools
- Marketing and sales-supporting investment
The funding is granted, in what amount? (The type and amount of support)
Grant of up to €5000 or a loan that can exceed the maximum amount of €5000. In exceptional cases, loans and grants can be combined when larger funding amounts are involved. The money can be granted all at once or in instalments. The time frame of the funding/evaluation of success is up to 12 months for those who are already self-employed and up to 24 months when businesses are started by those who were previously unemployed. The support can be granted in addition to the receipt of ALG II and the business-launch allowance. The application must be submitted via the responsible basic income support nstitution before work begins.
