What is funded? (Purpose)
The submitted project must have been completed and implemented after 1 January 2015. Prizes are awarded in the categories of companies and municipalities. In addition, the independent jury, which consists of representatives from science, business, associations and governmental administration, awards a special prize for a project of particular originality.
The competition is organised by the Brandenburg Energy Agency, which is part of Brandenburg Economic Development Corporation (WFBB) and commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Energy (MWAE).
Starting in March 2021, the agency will be accepting applications online at www.energieeffizienzpreis-brandenburg.de. The prize is awarded by the Minister of Economic Affairs and the VKU Berlin/Brandenburg regional group chair.

Zum fünften Mal wird vom Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Energie (MWAE) und der Landesgruppe Berlin/Brandenburg des Verbandes kommunaler Unternehmen (VKU) der mit insgesamt 15.000 € dotierte Energieeffizienzpreis ausgelobt. Damit sollen in Brandenburg realisierte Projekte ausgezeichnet werden, die Vorbildcharakter haben.|Competition
For the fifth time, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Energy (MWAE) and the Berlin/Brandenburg regional group of the Association of Municipal Enterprises (VKU) are offering the Energy Efficiency Award, which gives out prize money totalling €15,000. The award is intended to recognise exemplary projects implemented in Brandenburg.
