Who is funded? (Eligible to apply)

SMEs in trade and industry and other service industries as well as freelancers (with registered office and business operations in Germany, less than 250 employees, annual turnover of no more than €50 million/annual balance sheet total of no more than €43 million).

What is funded? (Purpose)

Energy advisory services in the areas of buildings and systems as well as user behaviour with the aim of identifying economically viable energy efficiency potential. The following can be funded: advisory services aimed at obtaining, in a systematic manner, sufficient information on the existing energy consumption profile of a building or a corresponding group of buildings, an operational process or an industrial or commercial installation, identifying and quantifying opportunities for economic energy conservation and recording the results in a report.

The energy advisory services must be provided on the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany. One energy consultation per applicant is eligible for funding within a 24-month period.

The funding is granted, in what amount? (The type and amount of support)

For companies with annual energy costs above €10,000, the grant amounts to 80% of the eligible advisory service costs but is not to exceed €6000.
For companies with annual energy costs of no more than €10,000, the grant amounts to 80% of the eligible advisory service costs but is not to exceed €1200.
The funding of measures under this guideline excludes the use of public funds from federal development programmes for similar measures. In case of funding from other advisory programmes, the grant amounts to a maximum of 90% of the costs.
