Target groups
Who is funded? (Eligible to apply)
- Recipients of unemployment benefit II who become self-employed and whose activity is of a full-time nature or who take up low-paid employment subject to social security contributions for at least 15 hours per week.
What is funded? (Purpose)
- Cost-of-living support, provided that the recipient is classified as in need of such assistance.
The funding is granted, in what amount? (The type and amount of support)
Grant (discretionary benefit).
Depending on the previous duration of unemployment and the size of the joint household in which the employable person in need of assistance lives.
- for 12 months
- An extension for a maximum of another 12 months is possible, usually in the amount of 50% of the standard benefit (up to 100%) plus 10% for each additional person in the joint household.
