    • Municipalities, municipal regional authorities and municipal special-purpose associations 
    • Corporations and institutions under public law 
    • Undertakings including municipal enterprises 
    • Other legal entities under private law, in particular non-profit organisations such as churches 
    • Condominium owners’ associations 
    What is funded? (Purpose)

    Within the framework of Germany’s Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings programme, the following individual measures in existing buildings are eligible for funding for residential and non-residential buildings: 

    • Individual measures on the building envelope 
    • Plant engineering (except heating) 
    • Plants for heat generation (heating technology) 
    • Heating optimization 
    • Technical planning and construction supervision 
    The funding is granted, in what amount? (The type and amount of support)

    Grant: 

    • Measures on the building envelope 20 % 
    • Procurement and construction of plant technology (except heating) 20% 
    • “Renewable-ready” gas-condensing heating systems 20% 
    • Gas hybrid heating systems 30% 
    • Solar collector systems 30% 
    • District heat transfer stations (with a share of renewable energies of at least 25%) 30% 
    • District heat transfer stations (with a share of renewable energies of at least 55%) 35% 
    • Heat pumps 35 % 
    • Biomass heating systems 35% 
    • Innovative heating technology systems 35% 
    • Renewable energy hybrid heating systems up to 40%
