    Brandenburgischer innovation voucher (BIG)

    Who is funded? (Eligible to apply)

    Kleine und mittlere Unternehmen, insbesondere der gewerblichen Wirtschaft (einschließlich Handwerk), mit Betriebsstätte im Land Brandenburg.

    What is funded? (Purpose)

    Funding of projects that serve to bolster the innovative capacity of SMEs, including craft enterprises.

    • External scientific advice/investigation in the run-up to the development of innovative products, services or process innovation (small BIG Transfer)
    • External implementation-oriented R&D activities for the purpose of designing existing products and processes until they are ready for the market (large BIG Transfer)
    • R&D projects that can be implemented in the short term in the phases of industrial research and/or experimental development (BIG R&D)
    • Utilisation of an advisory service to support the submission of applications within the scope of EU innovation programmes (BIG EU)
    • Digital transformation projects (advisory service, implementation and training)
    The funding is granted, in what amount? (The type and amount of support)
    • Small BIG Transfer: full financing (100%), not to exceed €5000, term of up to 6 months (can be applied for once when a company and research institution take up contact with each other)
    • Large BIG Transfer: partial financing (50%), no more than €15,000, term of up to 6 months (can be applied for several times, but no more than once within any 12-month period)
    • BIG R&D: partial financing (50%), no more than €100,000, term of up to 2 years (renewed application possible after utilisation of the results from the previous funding)
    • BIG EU: partial financing (50%), not to exceed €8000 or, as lead partner, not to exceed €16,000, project term of up to 12 months
    • BIG Digital: partial financing (50%), no more than €50,000 each for the advisory and training module, and no more than €500,000 for the implementation module. Project term of up to 6 months for the advisory and training modules or up to 36 months for the implementation module.
